Exterior Foundation1. We recommend checking the foundation on the exterior of the home for cracks or cracks that have been patched in the past.   Concrete cracks are very common; most cracks have no structural concern with the home.  We recommend noting where every crack is and when you inspect the basement re visit the cracked areas and look for water concerns/staining or standing water.  Normally if leaks or water stains are found in homes they can be corrected rather easily, most cracks are approx. $250.00 to $300.00 to repair.
